The City of Harahan, in order to maintain and improve the quality of life in the City  has a policy of seeking both state and federal grants to secure funds. We will keep you informed of the progress of these grants as it becomes available.

LGAP Grant for 2010  (Local Government Assistance Program-State of Louisiana)- still pending
This grant applies for funding of:
improvements to Lift Station #6 - Sewerage Department
securing of funds to incorporate digital computer system for the City Court-Clerk of Court
Louisiana Tourism Recovery Program This grant is administered by the Lt. Governor of the State of Louisiana with funding allocated from British Petroleum to Louisiana Department of Tourism. Click to read our application.
SELA - funding from the state to conduct a complete city -wide drainage master plan for the City of Harahan Subsurface Drainage System
Capital Outlay- a request to the state legislature for funding for drainage at four locations: a) Magnolia Blvd. to Jefferson Hwy  b) Wilson @ Sonit Canal  c) Penfold Cul de Sac  d) Lauricella Ditch Jefferson Hwy crossing
