PERMITS IN THE CITY OF HARAHAN
 Jeffrey Charlet, C.B.O. is the Director of the Harahan
Regulatory Department. Included in his many accomplishments,
Mr. Charlet has served as Past President of the Building
Officials Association of Louisianan (BOAL). He now serves on
the board of Directors and is a former member of the
Louisiana Municipal Association Executive Board. He has
served on committees for the national County and States on
Building Codes. The City of Harahan enforces the Louisiana
State Uniform Construction Code. Mr. Larry Schwall is our
inspector for electrical work, and Mr. Grayson Crespo
inspects gas, plumbing, and mechanical projects. Mr. Charlet
follows up with the final inspection ensuring that all
specifications have been addressed. Cost of filings is
dependent on the job. Ms. Charlene Maddie, the Regulatory

Permits and licenses of all sorts must be obtained in person from the Harahan Permit and License Department at City Hall between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Printable forms are available here in .pdf format, but anyone applying must appear in person to pay the appropriate fee and return the completed form.
