The Harahan Farmers' Market is being developed to feature local vendors and spotlight life in the City of Harahan.

Mission statement - The Harahan Farmer's Market is dedicated to providing local food producers and fishermen with an alternative marketing opportunity to showcase their products from local fields, waters, and kitchens. Serving as a gathering place for friends and neighbors to relax and visit, the market will also offer opportunities to taste the local flavors offered by vendors who specialize in making your visit a memorable one.

We feel that our City has a unique place in the metropolitan New Orleans area. Our local vendors, and vendors in the surrounding areas, offer outstanding products and services, frequently unavailable in any other markets.

Our Market will start as a "twice a month" endeavor beginning in September 2011, on the mornings of the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, from 8 a.m. until noon at Harahan City Hall at 6437 Jefferson Hwy.
Harahan, LA 70123 in the "S" curve in Harahan 2 miles upriver from the base of the East bank of the Huey Long Bridge.
